19/05/2010 19/05/2010 Faculty supervisors have been assigned to students undergoing industrial training in Semester 2 Session 2009/2010. Check for the details. Students are requested to contact their respective supervisor to arrange for a visit at the training place before their training ends.
12/05/2010 12/05/2010 Students undergoing industrial training at Normah Medical Specialist Centre (NMSC) will be charged RM10 per person per day. The cost shall be borne by the students themselves. Thus, students are NOT encouraged to undergo industrial training at the organisation.
27/04/2010 27/04/2010 Industry Attachment Program (IAP) MALAYSIA – Program 2 (For FSKTM, non-networking Students) 2010
  1. To enhance the theoretical and technical knowledge of FCSIT students during the internship
  2. FCSIT students are able to directly contribute to SME adoption and utilization of ICT
Approach – Overarching
IAP will build the capacity of firms to understand, adopt, invest and maintain practical ICT solutions by developing “work ready” undergraduate students for placement with local SMBs.
Student will be provided with (1) operational; (2) strategic; and (3) business and technology support to SMBs to drive, lead, manage and / or maintain sustainable ICT use and adoption.

  • Students – opportunity to put in practice what they’ve learnt in the classroom. Operate in a business environment. Have a taste of time management skills, working in teams, etc
  • Networking Academies – increasing their partnership with industry to provide internship opportunities to their students thereby increasing their value add.
  • SME Corp/MDeC – opportunity to align resources – public/private partnership between industry/education for maximum benefits.
This is a guided internship program
  • 2-week booth-camp (10~21 May 2010)
  • CISCO, MDEC, SME and UM will provide in-time monitoring and technical support throughout IAP to ensure students provide continuous value added benefits to the firms.
  • Students will be paid with monthly allowance during the Internship

It would be a great opportunity for the interns to be part of the SOA implementation team in a local bank. The project would be lead by a senior architect and few other experienced developers. 20/01/2010 20/01/2010 CITRA will conduct a few industrial training preparatory workshops for students undergoing industrial training next semester. The dates for the workshops are 6, 13, 20 & 27 March 2010. Workshop registration will be held on 3-4 February 2010 from 9.15am-12.15pm and 2.30pm-4.15pm; as well as on 5 February 2010 from 9.00am-12.00pm and 3.00pm-4.30pm. Registration will take place in Dewan Perdana 1, Block D, Kompleks Perdanasiswa. Registration fee is RM5.00/Workshop/Person. Topics covered in the workshop include professional etiquette & grooming, how to boost up your confidence, character building, time management, communication and practical thinking skills. Places are limited to 50 participants per workshop.
